Tigran Hamasyan
Manifeste
CUBO LIVE – places, ideas, voices, events – is the festival of live performances organised by CUBO throughout Italy in particularly evocative venues.
In Bologna, the historic location of the Gardens of Piazza Viera de Mello will feature a range of Italian song-writing, jazz and classical music. Summer evenings under the Bologna sky for all those with are curious, passionate and enjoy listening to music in the company of others.
Tigran Hamasyan is, without question, one of the most extraordinary musicians of his generation, capable of blending the poetry of jazz improvisation, the folklore of his homeland and the power of rock. Winning both the critics’ and the audience’s prize at the 2003 Montreux Festival was just the beginning of a career studded with accolades, right up to his latest album, Manifeste (2026), a body of work that resists genre boundaries, where the visionary composer blends driving rhythms, ethereal vocals, the purest piano sounds and ancient melodies.
In collaboration with Fondazione Musica Insieme.
The show is part of Bologna Estate 2026, the programme of activities promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna – Bologna-Modena Tourism Area.
In the event of bad weather, the show will take place at the Unipol Auditorium Enea Mazzoli, via Stalingrado 37.
