Francesco Baccini
CUBO LIVE – places, ideas, voices, events – is the festival of live performances organised by CUBO throughout Italy in particularly evocative venues.
In Bologna, the historic location of the Gardens of Piazza Viera de Mello will feature a range of Italian song-writing, jazz and classical music.
Summer evenings under the Bologna sky for all those with are curious, passionate and enjoy listening to music in the company of others.
Francesco Baccini returns to the stage with a concert spanning more than thirty years of songs, ranging from tracks that have become part of our collective memory to some of the deeper cuts from his repertoire.
Long regarded as one of the most eclectic exponents of the Genoese school, he will be accompanied here by his band, with Baccini’s piano the heart of a line-up that allows him to move effortlessly through the many facets of his repertoire – from singer-songwriter tunes to blues, from rock to ska.
A concert that also leaves room for improvisation, blending humour, storytelling and refined songwriting free from nostalgia or excessive flourishes. Baccini is currently working on the release of the first singles from his new album of original tracks, ‘Nomi e Cognomi Due’, due out this autumn.
In collaboration with Articolture.
The show is part of Bologna Estate 2026, the programme of activities promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna – Bologna-Modena Tourism Area.
In the event of bad weather, the show will take place at the Unipol Auditorium Enea Mazzoli, via Stalingrado 37.
