Fusion Experience

CUBO LIVE – places, ideas, voices, events – is the festival of live performances organised by CUBO throughout Italy in particularly evocative venues.
In Bologna, the historic location of the Gardens of Piazza Viera de Mello will feature a range of Italian song-writing, jazz and classical music.
Summer evenings under the Bologna sky for all those with are curious, passionate and enjoy listening to music in the company of others.
Fusion Experience is the brainchild of guitarist and producer Ciro Manna, with the aim of bringing together musicians from different cultures and artistic backgrounds to create an original musical language, in which jazz/fusion and world music blend in a natural and innovative way. Fusion Experience is a quartet of the highest calibre, bringing together some of the most influential figures on the international music scene.
On drums is Dave Weckl, regarded as one of the most influential and technically gifted drummers of all time, and a long-standing performer with the Chick Corea Electric Band. On bass and vocals is Richard Bona, a leading figure in global jazz alongside Joe Zawinul and a champion of a refined Afro-contemporary sensibility. On keyboards is Mica Lecoq, a pioneer of European crossover, acclaimed for his versatility and musical vision. On guitar is Ciro Manna, one of Italy’s most highly regarded musicians, who steers the project towards an intense, elegant and deeply contemporary sonic experience.
A veritable supergroup that promises to take fusion music to new heights, an unprecedented musical experience characterised by rousing rhythms, unforgettable melodies and breathtaking improvisations.

The show is part of Bologna Estate 2026, the programme of activities promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna – Bologna-Modena Tourism Area.
In the event of bad weather, the show will take place at the Unipol Auditorium Enea Mazzoli, via Stalingrado 37.
