L’italiano ad arte
Teaching module for senior secondary schools 03 - 17 March 2022
A programme divided into three meetings focused on the importance of communication through verbal, iconic and gestural forms, up to the birth of real language. We will focus on the changes that have accompanied the history of music and language through listening and viewing interactive multimedia materials. And the “language spoken by dubbers”? Created from a purified Tuscan base of the “Gorgia” and finally unified by cinema and television. We take a look at the most beautiful scenes in the history of cinema that have immortalised our dubbers, highlighting the changes in style.

- Thursday 3 March 2022 at 10:00 - 12:00
How is human language born and how does it evolve? Together we will examine the metamorphosis of an idiom through the influence of time, ways of life, social changes and the influences of other languages, as sources of inevitable evolution.

We retrace the genesis of the Italian language starting from the Sicilian vernacular to the affirmation of the Tuscan dialect as the illustrious vernacular from which the canonisation of the Italian language began, finally reaching colloquial Italian with the introduction of English words and computer science terms.
Diction and the actor's profession
- Thursday 17 March 2022 at 10:00 - 12:00
Non-verbal expressions and gestures remain the essential elements for effective speech both in the arts and in everyday life: in this session we analyse the importance of these non-verbal expressions and gestures in theatre and in everyday speech.
