Digital citizenship education
Teaching module for junior secondary school students 8 - 22 February 2023
The learning course is aimed at junior secondary school students with the aim of forming a civic awareness in young digital natives through the acquisition of basic skills for a correct use of the internet and to develop a feeling of conscious digital citizenship.
Issues related to rights and duties in modern society and the web, data security while surfing the net, and the differences between the various social networks are addressed.

Citizenship and the Internet

The first session of the module aims to clarify the concept of digital citizenship and the rights and duties of those who surf the internet; part of the session is dedicated to the theme of the environmental impact of the internet and the actions that can be taken to reduce this impact.
Network security and cyberbullying
- Wednesday 15 February 2023 at 10:00 - 12:00
The second session tackles issues related to the risks and dangers of the internet: strategies to protect your data and good password management practices. The issues of bullying and cyberbullying are also addressed.
Social networks, self-perception and addiction
- Wednesday 22 February 2023 at 10:00 - 12:00
The last session is dedicated to the relationship between very young people and social networks, the language of social networks, the unknowns we are exposed to through the lack of personal contact with the people we might be speaking to and the risks of the illusory dimension sometimes caused by the use of certain technologies.
