CUBO is crossed by FLUX-US, an artistic journey that includes works by Mary Bauermeister, Francesca Pasquali and fuse*, conceived as an uninterrupted flow of situations, perceptions and multiple sensory experiences in which the visitor is called upon to interact and participate in the aesthetic process.

“Society needs sensitive people to receive the future” Mary Bauermeister argued in a recent interview. She was one of the leading figures in the Cologne art scene, which was the centre of the pre-fluxus movement in the Lintgasse and which presents a selection of important museum works at CUBO. In dialogue with the German artist’s works is the site-specific installation Glasswall by the Bolognese artist Francesca Pasquali, created in collaboration with Carlotta Piccinini and video artist Andrea Familari, as well as with the contribution of Luigi Mastrandrea and sound designer Bernardo Lo Sterzo. The work consists of 150,000 plastic cups of various sizes and densities and was created as a reflection on the transformation and potential of matter.

Art then becomes action with .amygdala, an installation conceived by the fuse* collective that establishes a relationship with the public, with the objective of representing the flow of data shared by millions of people on the web. 125,952 LEDs in the 41 columns of the Media Garden represent the access channel of data collected in real-time from social networks and light up controlled by the .amygdala algorithm, which translates them into sounds and colours.
