CUBO meets Alice Milani, a highly talented artist born in Pisa in 1986 who studied painting at the Accademia Albertina of Turin before specialising in engraving in Brussels. Her artistic career began with self-productions and continued with the La Trama collective in 2010.

Tools of the Trade is a unique project designed to offer the public a window on the world of illustrated publishing and foster direct dialogue with top-level professionals.
The author turned her attention to the biography genre, using her own highly personal style to describe the lives of others, telling the stories of anti-conformist personalities like poet Wisława Szymborska, the great scientist Marie Curie and priest Don Lorenzo Milani. Tumulto, written together with Silvia Rocchi, represents a break from the genre and tells the tale of two girls and their motorbike journey across a country that still bears the scars of a recent war.
