The places of Resistance
Bologna, 22 April 2025
80 years after the Liberation, a tour of the origins of the Italian Republic, also stemming from civil resistance that opposed the German occupation and fascism, starting with the women, who dressed the soldiers in civilian clothes after 8 September, the priests, the peasants who hid escaped prisoners of war.
With Paolo Pezzino, Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Pisa, Chairman of the Ferruccio Parri National Institute from 2018 to 2024 and author of the book “Andare per i luoghi della Resistenza”.
At the end of the meeting, a walking tour with the author in the locations of the resistance in the Bolognina district, with a stop at the Murals by the artist Emeid dedicated to Edera De Giovanni, a young woman from an anti-Fascist family, who dedicated herself to organising the first partisan groups which then merged into the 36th Garibaldi Brigade
