From 19 to 30 March 2018, BOOM! returns Crescere nei libri (Growing up in books), an exhibition promoted in the city by the Municipality of Bologna and Bologna Fiere as part of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. For the occasion, CUBO will host two meetings with great artists in the sector.
SPEAKING BY DRAWING: an illustrated conference

The English writer and illustrator **Chris Riddell** talks about his life and work as an author and illustrator of children's books, his characters, but also his activity as a satirical cartoonist. Accustomed to accompanying his words with drawings, he transforms the meeting into a real illustrated conference.
THE TOOLS OF THE TRADE: kids meet the artists

This workshop is a training event aimed at bringing together young future illustrators and established authors in order to encourage direct contact with professionals in the sector. The Italian illustrator **Sergio Ruzzier** lives in New York, where he writes and draws picture books which have led him to be one of the most important picture book authors in the United States.
