Sound echoes and reverberations in contemporary art

Sound art today refers to the art form that, instead of the musical practice of playing in time, is interested in the spatial perception inherent in sound, focussing on its materiality and its ‘projection’ in space.
Thea SOTI is a vocalist, experimental sound artist and composer. Caterina Molteni curated Bloodline Shrine by Meredith Monk promoted by MAMbo for ARTCITY  2024 at the Pio Istituto delle Sordomute Povere in Bologna. 

The event is part of and concludes the review das, dialoghi artistici sperimentali (experimental artistic dialogues), whose seventh edition proposes a detailed site-specific project by Stefano Non, entitled NEW TIMES, curated by Claudio Musso.
At Torre Unipol, the exhibition project -x-=+ (Building on the absence of the referent) is the artist’s personal reflection on the consequences of scientific discoveries about space-time.
At Porta Europa, the exhibition project Giraffe with Cosmic Baby Giraffes at the Earth museum  invites the audience to reflect on the concept of a museum and of post-human museumisation.
