The Devil’s Trill

The sixth edition of CUBO LIVE – places, ideas, voices, events – kicks off with a concert by Giuseppe Gibboni & Carlotta Dalia. The sounds of guitar and violin will fill the evocative Multipurpose Hall at Unipol Tower – the first in a series of live performances organised by CUBO.
He brought the Paganini Prize back to Italy after 24 years, while also winning the Audience Prize and two Special Prizes at the prestigious violin competition. She has won over 40 international competitions and plays the guitar made for Andrés Segovia. Together they form a permanent duo, featuring in some prestigious line-ups and having been hosted at the Palazzo del Quirinale in Rome at the invitation of President Sergio Mattarella for a concert broadcast live on RAI.
Their programme ranges from violin classics such as Tartini’s Il Trillo del Diavolo and Paganini’s La Campanella to Piazzolla’s Le Grand Tango and Spanish folk music by Tàrrega and Turina, in original arrangements by Dalia herself.
