We will explore how to structure texts according to their nature and outline the principles of functional writing in specific contexts, for example writing emails and composing presentations with PowerPoint slides, to learn how to use the written word as a tool to achieve professional objectives. The course includes 6 meetings of two hours each.

Consultant and corporate trainer Francesca Gagliardi teaches participants the fundamental characteristics of effective writing, first focusing on the communication traps easy to fall into, then the strategies to avoid them. The meetings are led with the contribution of Sergio Infuso, graphic designer and photographer.

The purpose of this meeting is to properly define communication traps, learn how to avoid them and learn the techniques for salvaging difficult situations, writing more credible and convincing texts.

During the second meeting, participants will learn the techniques for composing effective informative texts: press releases, notices, circulars, newspaper articles.

Saturday 31 October 2020 at 10:00 - 12:00

The objective of the third meeting is for participants to acquire the techniques to write effective motivational texts: invitations, adverts, commercial proposals.

Listen to the writer: email tone of voice

After this fourth meeting, participants will understand how to make their voices “vibrate” in emails and modify them according to their various interlocutors.
