Video podcast workshop for 12 – 17 years old Bologna, 3 - 24 October 2025
The video podcast has become a tool that has exponentially improved the effectiveness and power of oral storytelling. The course aims to provide an introduction to the main methods used to create this form of communication, audio editing and design for those wishing to take their first steps in this field as self-taught. Each session will include a theoretical section, followed by practical examples and classroom exercises.

What are vodcasts?

To create a vodcast you must first know what a vodcast is. The categories, the market, the data, the medium, the various existing formats and some case studies will be outlined in the first meeting
Writing a vodcast

The second lesson is dedicated to the essential phase of writing a vodcast: the style, the number of episodes, the duration and content. The participants, after having decided on the topic to address, begin to draft the outline of the episode they will create.
Speaking on a vodcast

An essential skill for those who are approaching this world for the first time is knowing how to manage the use of the voice: its tone, enunciation, rhythm and learning how to make it believable. Exercises will be conducted with whatsapp audios and technical recording tests to practise with voice and software.
Drafting and recording

The last meeting focuses on drafting and revising the text, editing the recording and making changes to the text during post-production.
