Let's make mistakes
- Saturday 11 November 2023 at 10:30 - 13:00
Stage fright is an improv artist's worst enemy. Learning to see an error not as a problem, but as an opportunity to activate new personal and group resources, is a priority for those approaching this type of live performance. We skip the judgement step, of yourself or of others, to stay in the process.
Let's listen
- Saturday 18 November 2023 at 10:30 - 13:00
In theatrical improvisation there is no text and there is no external director. The actors must, therefore, come up with their own ideas to move the scene forward. Those approaching this type of performance for the first time tend to invent everything, locking themselves away in their own thoughts and, in effect, missing out on all the opportunities already there, ready to be exploited.
Practising listening, in the sense of perceiving everything around us, starting with our choice of stage partners, is fundamental to finding the right approach to the scene.
Let's inspire
- Saturday 25 November 2023 at 10:30 - 13:00
One of the founding fathers of modern improvisation, Keith Johnstone, argued that one of the improviser's main skills lies in the ability to set free his partner's imagination. If all the actors on stage perform with this in mind, everyone can really enjoy the process.
Let's collaborate
- Saturday 2 December 2023 at 10:30 - 13:00
In improvisation, the ability to collaboratively interact with stage partners is fundamental. This is why it is important to learn to resist the natural tendency to control. The scene is built together, with contributions from all the actors involved. We accept each other's ideas and use them to produce our own.
