A workshop to create a video inspired by the found footage technique, a path for approaching cinema by reflecting on the concepts of memory, past and present.

We’ll bring photos and videos that represent us and collect ideas on how
to use the materials of the past to tell a story in the present.
Visit to the Bologna film library and its archives

We'll explore the archives of the Film Library, custodians of materials to be handled and reassembled
for our film project.

We’ll collect ideas and suggestions to outline the story we'd like to tell together.
Script and crew

We’ll learn about the tasks and duties of the members of a film crew, choosing
our role and beginning to write the film.
Preparing for filming

We’ll define the frames, examine the script, the sequences to be shot
and define the props, costumes and location.
Lights, camera, action!
- Friday 5 April 2019 at 17:30
We’ll work as if we were on set, each with their own role and together with the rest of the crew
to film the scene.
Editing and post-production
- Friday 12 April 2019 at 17:30
We’ll learn the basics of editing software and watch the film take shape
with the combination of live footage, images and videos from the past.
