Photography workshop for teenagers 13 to 17 years old 28 April – 26 May 2023
What are the basic rules of photography? How can we use the language of photography to tell a story and express our thoughts? Through an intensive course, over five lessons we will discover the language of photography for developing our communication and storytelling skills. Starting with the technical basics of photography and being guided by the works of great
historical and contemporary photographers, we will learn how to construct a photographic narrative.

All the technical equipment and materials required for the workshop will be provided.
When booking the first event, registration will be valid for the entire duration of the course
Introduction to the language of photography
- Friday 28 April 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
After a presentation on the evolution of the instrument, we will carry out test shots with default settings to start familiarising ourselves with the camera.
Writing with light: exposure and shutter speeds
- Friday 5 May 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
We set different shutter speeds to create shots where we give movement to subjects or freeze moments.
Field depth and focusing: lenses and diaphragms
- Friday 12 May 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
We will focus on different subjects in the same scene and analyse how reading the image changes.
Photographic storytelling: analysis of some photographic series
- Friday 19 May 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
Dividing the class into different working groups, we will create concept maps, notes and storyboards as a structure for the photographic story.
Searching, producing and selecting images
- Friday 26 May 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
We will present the photographic series created and produced by each working group.
