Songwriting: writing songs effectively
Workshop for children aged 13 to 17 years 11 November - 9 December 2022
The course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn the techniques of writing lyrics or those who have a passion and curiosity for the world of songwriting. The goal is to enhance the emotional intention of each participant, providing creative songwriting techniques and useful tools to transform their ideas into song. Ample time will be dedicated to practical exercises in creative writing, analysis and commentary of the lyrics created by the participants and listening to and analysing successful songs. You do not need to know how to play a musical instrument to take part in the course.

Inspiration and the creative process

Giving form to the lyrics

In the second session, we will analyse the elements necessary to give form to the lyrics: the lines, the verse, the metric, the rhymes, the accents, the rhythm, the tone of a piece of music.
