Safe surfing: online without any traps

The module aims to set the foundations for the development of new ‘digital citizens’, providing some elements of knowledge on how the online world works and some food for thought on the ‘traps’ and dangers of the Internet in order to enable children to make their entry into social networking in a conscious manner. In Italy, the minimum age for access to information services, including social networks, is set at 14 years of age. It is essential to prepare children as early as secondary school through training designed to raise their awareness and perception of the risks of the Internet in order to protect their future.
