Larp and Writing

LARP (Live Action Role Playing) is an immersive experience in which participants play a character in a given setting. A few simple rules help participants to fully immerse themselves in the resulting co-created narrative. LARP are experiences designed to speak to the heart, brain and belly; they are narratives in which the protagonists are the participants themselves. A category of RPG (Role Play Games) akin to LARP is Journalism RPG: shared storytelling experiences in which participants write stories creating possible but imaginary worlds, stories that help us to understand the reality that surrounds us.
The LARP and Writing course combines these two forms of storytelling in an integrated course that will help people to tell stories and at the same time to understand each other.
