Human biodiversity and multiethnicity

Teaching module for junior secondary schools 7 – 21 February 2024

Streaming on the CUBO platform
07 Feb 2024 - 21 Feb 2024

Biological anthropology can provide the key to understanding better how the diversification of peoples and cultures, migratory phenomena and the dynamics of demography and interactions between peoples occur. This key may be helpful, especially to the new generations represented by the students.

We acquire the tools we need to build a more objective and comprehensive view of the formation processes and interactions of peoples and cultures.

In collaboration with Sylvia Di Marco

The tools for studying biodiversity

  • Wednesday 7 February 2024 at 10:00 - 12:00

We discover the basics of life and biodiversity (the cell and DNA), biological anthropology methods for studying the history of human populations, physical anthropology and skeletal biology methods, human genetics and palaeogenomics. We look at examples of applications to current and past (including prehistoric) human populations.

Origins and migrations of human populations
