How to imagine the technology of the future
Teaching module for senior secondary school students 2 March - 16 March 2023
Every day we are surrounded by technological tools that have radically changed our way of life, especially in the last 20 years… but how did we come to all this? Starting from some of the most important technological innovations, we journey through time to imagine and discover what technology awaits us for the future.

How communications have changed: from smoke signals to satellites
- Thursday 9 March 2023 at 10:00 - 12:00
We are used to taking our smartphone out of our pocket and using it for any type of communication, from a phone call to a DM on social media. But how did we communicate before smartphones? How did we end up with a worldwide communication network (and beyond!) available 24/7? Let's find out together in this session.
How transport has changed: from carriages to self-driving cars
- Thursday 16 March 2023 at 10:00 - 12:00
Flying cars have been imagined for centuries and teleportation has even been hypothesised, but for now we are still comfortably seated in our cars. Which, nevertheless, are evolving at an ever-increasing speed. How did we go from horse-drawn carriages to parcel delivery by drones? In this session we will retrace the evolutionary stages of the world of transport together.
