Teaching module for lower secondary schools

Streaming
03 Mar 2027 - 17 Mar 2027

The course aims to raise pupils’ awareness of the importance of individual choices, by expanding the concept of ecology from the physical world to the digital realm. Through an interactive approach, pupils will explore how everyday habits (from household management to the use of video games) can influence the balance of our planet, equipping them with the skills to become informed citizens in this era of ecological and digital transition.

In collaboration with Alice Pomiato.

Home and personal care

  • Wednesday 3 March 2027 at 10:00 - 12:00

We will provide a clear and structured introduction to the concept of a sustainable home. We will explore the role that each of us can play within our domestic spaces, highlighting how our everyday choices have a significant impact on the environment. Attendees will gain an understanding of how to read labels and analyse certifications, to try to reduce their water impact as much as possible and achieve real energy savings.

Gaming and digital impact

  • Wednesday 10 March 2027 at 10:00 - 12:00

Let’s consider gaming from an unusual perspective: that of the environment, starting with what’s inside a console and the origins of the materials it’s made from. We’ll analyse the energy consumption of video games, comparing cloud gaming with physical media, and reflect on the fate of electronic devices at the end of their life cycle.

Becoming aware consumers

  • Wednesday 17 March 2027 at 10:00 - 12:00

Since when, and why, do we produce so much so quickly? We will explore the mechanisms of bio-capacity, consumption and local and global production to discover and assess our ecological footprint, in order to become conscious consumers and producers.
