The truth of what is true becomes the means for transferring and transfiguring, with the peculiarity of his theatrical light and the virtue of his exact nature, higher and more universal values beyond the very time within which the figures of Merisi seem circumscribed. A journey of rediscovery in the allure of the work of an ancient master who can still amaze and deeply evoke emotion beyond all history, beyond all temporality.
