A voice for dubbing
Bringing images to life Dubbing winter camp for 12-17-year-olds 27 – 30 December 2021
A dubbing professional teaches participants how to speak clearly and cleanly with the correct diction and to express themselves through voice, following the rhythm dictated by the lips of their favourite film or cartoon characters.
The objective is to learn to quickly read the printed word and translate it into sounds while decoding cinematic language, aiming to forge an emotional connection in order to credibly give life to the characters on the screen.

Learning to speak
- Monday 27 December 2021 at 14:00 - 19:00
The first session is based on diction and orthoepy, on the correct use of the diaphragm and breathing, and on how to manage vocal emission. We conclude by reading real scripts.
Voice expression
- Tuesday 28 December 2021 at 14:00 - 19:00
In the second session we focus on the correct use of voice resonators, interpreted reading and an introduction to recording.
Recording basics
- Wednesday 29 December 2021 at 14:00 - 19:00
In the third session we analyse the technical tools, including the relationship with the microphone as an essential element. We continue practising recording, focusing on the final result.
Dubbing
- Thursday 30 December 2021 at 14:00 - 19:00
In the last session we explore the practice in depth, analysing the difference between cinema, cartoons and dubbing. Lastly, we produce the result of this course: the final dubbing!
