In its eighth edition, das-experimental artistic dialogues presents UNI, DOUBLE, COLLECTIVE. Identity in the Age of Metaverse, a dynamic project curated by Federica Patti and Claudio Musso, in which LaTurbo Avedon, Auriea Harvey, Kamilia Kard and Mara Oscar Cassiani are engaged in leading the spectator along a changing path of declination of the self in the era of Metaverse.

During this in-depth meeting on the artistic work of Kamilia Kard, the artist and curator play with the audience as they discover Toxic Garden, an online participatory experience in the Roblox map designed by Kard. Transformed into the poisonous plants that inhabit the environment, participants dance to a choreography composed by the artist using motion capture and AI to record and process the movements of professional dancers. Inspired by nature, Kard has imagined an environment and choreography meant to be a warning and response to manipulative attitudes: the result is an online space where people of different generations and genders can meet, socialize and collectively reflect on inclusion, gender equality and the dangers of manipulative behaviour.

Kamilia Kard is an artist and lecturer who explores issues of human perception in the context of hyper-connectivity and digital communication. Her research focuses on the impact of new forms of online communication on the body, gestures, emotions and feelings. The body and human behaviour in all its forms are central to her investigation.

Her works cross different expressive languages, from digital painting and video installations to three-dimensional sculptures, AR filters and interactive virtual environments, ranging from the printed image, video game, website, 3D print and virtual environment.

She is a lecturer in Multimedia Communication and Virtual Reality and Paradigms of Complexity at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan. She edited the book Alpha Plus. Anthology of Digital Art (Editorial Vortex, 2017) and, as author, published Art and social media. Generators of Sentiments (Postmediabooks, 2022).

Federica Patti is an art historian and independent curator. Her research focuses on transmedia practices, with particular interest in digital performance, posthuman themes and the metaverse. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Turin and a lecturer in Processes and Techniques for Multimedia Performance at the Brera Academy.
