In its eighth edition, das-experimental artistic dialogues presents UNI, DOUBLE, COLLECTIVE. Identity in the Age of Metaverse, a dynamic project curated by Federica Patti and Claudio Musso, in which LaTurbo Avedon, Auriea Harvey, Kamilia Kard and Mara Oscar Cassiani are engaged in leading the spectator along a changing path of declination of the self in the era of Metaverse.
In-depth meeting to Auriea Harvey's research and production featuring the artist in dialogue with Claudio Musso, curator of das.08, to discover imagery, symbolism, and references that lie within the artist's peculiar phygital sculptural aesthetic and composition.
Auriea Harvey, an American artist based in Rome, is a pioneer of Net Art who has always been at the forefront of art and technology, known for her work in digital art and video games, and in recent years for her exploration of 3D printing and virtual reality installations. Harvey continues to explore the boundaries between the digital and physical worlds, working across time, media and materials to define the meaning of sculptural production in the present moment. She co-founded the collectives Entropy8Zuper!, Tale of Tales and Song of Songs; she contributed to the first Internet project commissioned by the Guggenheim Museum and the Realtime Art Manifesto, recognised as the main appeal of the independent games movement of the 2000s. Her work is exhibited in major collections and museums, including the Whitney Museum, the Walker Art Center and the Museum of the Moving Image.
Claudio Musso is an art critic and independent curator. He is Deputy Director of the Politecnico delle Arti di Bergamo with responsibility for the direction of the Accademia di Belle Arti G. Carrara, where he teaches Phenomenology of Contemporary Arts.
