Screen printing
Screen‑Printing workshop for 13-17 years old
The workshop will guide participants through the fundamental principles of screen printing, alternating between theory and hands‑on practice. The course will explore both the artistic and industrial applications of the technique, leading to the creation and printing of personalized graphics.
In collaboration with Collettivo Franco.
By enrolling in the first lesson, the participant will be automatically registered for the entire duration of the course.
Theory and concept
- Friday 13 March 2026 at 17:00 - 19:00
Introduction: a brief history of screen printing and its applications.
Tools and Materials: an overview of the equipment (screens, emulsions, inks, squeegees).
Design: an exploration of the creative process and the first steps in developing the graphic works to be printed.
Technical preparation
- Friday 20 March 2026 at 17:00 - 19:00
Graphic Finalization: completing the drawings and preparing the image for photo‑etching.
Exposure: explanation and preparation of the photosensitive screen.
Color Tests: introduction to ink handling and preparation of the printing surface.
Printing and final touches
- Friday 27 March 2026 at 17:00 - 19:00
Hands‑On Lab: an intensive screen‑printing session on paper or fabric.
Sharing: a review of the works produced, with technical guidance for continuing the practice independently.
Closing: final delivery of the printed pieces to participants.
