The digital book

  • From Monday 18 March 2019, from 17:00 to wednesday 18 March 2020

How does a book change in its digital version? Has only the reading media or the book changed, in adapting to the new medium, or has its substance changed? The meeting addresses the novelties imposed by digital communication with two publishers who have carried out some projects for the readers of tomorrow: Zanichelli, specialised in scholastic publishing, a sector in which digital platforms are the place of didactic innovation, and Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura, which inaugurated Bites, the first series of texts proposed in dual format, paper and digital.

With **Giuseppe Ferrari Zanichelli** and **Valentina Saraceni**Edizioni di Storia e Letteratura/Bitesonline.

The publisher's (digital) footprint

  • Monday 25 March 2019 at 17:00

What is the publisher’s role in the transition to digital? A cornerstone of publishing such as Roberto Calasso, founder of Adelphi, identified the "publisher's footprint" as that particular element which distinguishes the passage of a book, from the author to the reader. With Fabio Ferri of Mondadori Education and Andrea Angiolini of Mulino, who will reflect on the existence or otherwise of this "footprint" in publishing in the transition from paper to digital text, where the author is multiplied, the text is fluid, and intermediation is often replaced by the direct relationship between Author, text and reader.

The Google reader

  • Monday 1 April 2019 at 17:00

How has the world of readers changed in the age of Google? In the digital world, the ultimate will of the author is no longer assured, the text is mobile, the reader is overwhelmed with texts, but does not know which is worth reading, for quality and reliability. The Google reader is bulimic, but often doesn't know what he's reading. With Antonio Franchini of Giunti and Claudio Tubertini of CLUEB, we will face the changes imposed on publishing by digital readers, between new technologies and old habits, to understand how new, native digital or hardened analog readers are changing the forms of reading.

With ** Antonio Franchini of Giunti** and **Claudio Tubertini** of CLUEB.
