An unprecedented colour interpretation 21 April – 5 May 2018

On the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Bologna, CUBO offers a reflection on the new and fortunate discovery of unpublished colour images.​​

A COLOURFUL REFLECTION

The fortunate and unexpected discovery of the colour photographs allows us to add new light to the liberation of Bologna and the days immediately following, which marked the transition from the war to the post-war period.

MULTIMEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHIC AND DOCUMENTARY EXHIBITION

  • From Saturday 21 April 2018, from 09:00 to saturday 5 May 2018

The CUBO Media Library has a multimedia gallery with images and videos showing different aspects of the liberation of Bologna. Displayed on large panels are colour photographs found at
the National Archives in Washington and taken by the US Army Signal Corps.
Educational displays with unpublished images from the photographic archives of the Istituto Luce and the Gramsci Foundation Emilia Romagna are set up on touch tables. Original documents from the period are on display.
