Celebrating Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2019, CUBO renews its participation in “Boom!Crescere nei libri”, the series of initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Bologna, offering a fascinating itinerary through the world of illustration and editorial production for youths.
During the event, adults, youth and children will have the opportunity to meet and work directly with great international authors, exploring the fascinating world of illustration and fiction for children.

Meeting with illustrators

A comparison of two great illustrators, two works and two companions on the road: **Alessandro Sanna** answers the solicitations of **Sergio Ruzzier** not through words but through drawing. A performance conversation in which the talent of Sanna's drawing improvisation will give life to a show on "moving" paper, intertwining the story of his career with her stories, atmospheres, settings and characters.
The tools of the trade

The tools of the trade is a training project for very young future illustrators who will have the opportunity to work with established authors. The objective of the project was and is to open up to the very young public, as well as students of secondary schools, professional schools, art institutes and high schools, academies and schools of drawing, some doors to the world of illustrated publishing, pose questions and have direct discussions with professionals of great calibre.
The meeting is for schools.
Small illustrators grow. From collages to books.

Starting from the reading and analysis of a book by the author, the workshop intends to retrace the entire creative process of the illustrated narrative through the use of collage techniques. The children will have the opportunity to create stories and characters using scissors, glue, paper and recycled material,
stimulating the imagination and improving their dexterity.
The workshop is for children aged 6-11.

Starting from the reading and analysis of a book by the author, the workshop offers the opportunity to learn photographic techniques as an artistic tool for creating an illustrated book. During the workshop, children will be able to experiment with the use of mixed techniques together with photographic images in an experience that combines creativity and fun.
The workshop is for children aged 6-11 years.
