Affinities and divergences between the geographer Farinelli and us

Part of the das.07 TEMPI NUOVI exhibition 12 March 2024

CUBO in Torre Unipol – Via Larga, 8 Bologna
12 Mar 2024 - 12 Mar 2024

The space of the city both in its realistic representation – maps, cartographies, photographs – and in its dystopian meaning as a place of science fiction narration, is one of the main inspirations of the das.07 TEMPI NUOVI project.

In an open dialogue with Franco Farinelli – geographer, professor emeritus of the University of Bologna – the artist Stefano Non and curator Claudio Musso will explore the influence of contemporary aesthetic models – the internet, virtual reality, video games – on the conception of space in an ever-changing world.

The event is part of the das exhibition, experimental artistic dialogues, which for the seventh edition proposes a complex site-specific project  by Stefano Non, entitled TEMPI NUOVI, curated by Claudio Musso.

In Torre Unipol the exhibition project Menopermenougualepiù (Costruire sull’assenza del referente/Building on the absence of the referent) is a personal reflection by the artist on the consequences of scientific discoveries regarding space-time.

At Porta Europa the exhibition project Giraffa con giraffine cosmiche al Museo terrestre (Giraffe with Cosmic Giraffins at the Earth Museum) invites reflections on the concept of a museum and post-human museumisation.
