Truth and fake news

Workshop for adults 16 November – 21 December 2021

Streaming
16 Nov 2021 - 21 Dec 2021

The advent of the web has multiplied the interdependent phenomena of fake news and denialist theories, transforming them from niche issues into mass problems, which is why teaching citizens to consciously manage the current media has become a priority.
During the course we will reflect and discuss the philosophical consequences that online information has on quality of life: in fact, the ability to manage and use data can depend on professional success, knowledge acquisition, social practices, political choices and identity perception. These complex questions areas all require more than protocols of good practice but can nonetheless be effectively  discussed through workshops, in particular based on philosophical dialogue, starting from the personal experience of each participant.
