When the instrument "speaks"
- Tuesday 9 November 2021 at 10:00 - 12:00
What effects do jazz, blues, rock or hip hop musicians obtain and with what kind of aesthetic pleasure do they manipulate the sound of the instrument and the voice? We'll listen to classical music, African, rock, jazz, contemporary pop. What sounds do we hear? We’ll look at how the instruments are handled. We'll consider how tools can act like voices and voices can act like tools.
Put some swing into it!
- Tuesday 16 November 2021 at 10:00 - 12:00
What urges us to move in a certain way when we listen to swing music? We'll watch videos of African music, great pop singers, and American dances. We'll consider the search for physical and mental well-being that acts through our neurons. We’ll try to understand how our brain works.
