Workshops for youth 12 to 17 years old 27 June – 02 September 2016
The kid’s camps are week-long workshops that take place during the summer holidays in Bologna, San Donato Milanese and Turin.
Point, line, surface. Illustration and animation workshop
- From Monday 27 June 2016 to friday 1 July 2016, from 08:30 to 18:30
Starting from the techniques of illustration, animation and post-production, boys and girls find structures, orders, static and dynamic patterns in the combination of physical laws and artistic creativity. It is a journey into the image between visual and multimedia arts that goes from illustration on paper to video, mixing different artistic languages.
With **Marta Iorio** illustrator, **Andrea Basti** sound designer and **Micaela Piccinini** actress and theatre educator.
The camp will be held in Bologna at the **CUBO** Media Library.
One story, many stories. Audiovisual narration workshop
- From Monday 4 July 2016 to friday 8 July 2016, from 08:30 to 18:30
We have an idea, a video camera and many ways to tell a story, through a short fiction film, a video clip, a documentary, an advertising spot. Starting with the writing of the screenplay, the idea is interpreted in different cinematic forms, and then faced with the challenges of realisation and discovering the strength of each form of expression.
With **Francesco Filippi** director and screenwriter, **Giuseppe Petruzzellis** director and editor and **Renata Falcone** actress and theatre educator.
The camp will be held in **Bologna** at the **CUBO Media Library**.
Puppets – Start & Stop. Puppet making and animation workshop
- From Monday 4 July 2016 to friday 8 July 2016, from 08:30 to 17:00
The stories come to life within sets, in which the protagonists made of plasticine, silicone and wire move.
All filming techniques are involved in the creation of animated videos, written and produced by the children, combining technology and manual skills in the construction of sets and puppets.
But how much work does it take to make a second of animation... are you ready?
With **Guglielmo Trautvetter** director and puppet maker, **Pierpaolo Paganelli** director and screenwriter, **Mauro Gentile** actor and theatre educator.
The camp will be held in **San Donato Milanese** at the Unipol Group headquarters in Via della Unione Europea 3.
Lights, camera, action! Directing workshop
- From Monday 18 July 2016 to friday 22 July 2016, from 08:30 to 18:30
Acting and directing, framing and video shooting techniques, audio recordings, up to editing, are the activities that bring one closer to the dynamics and practices of the world of cinema.
In front of and behind the video camera, we study body movements, facial expressions, the use of the voice, the relationships between people and objects as well as the perception of space, to discover how cinema is made.
It's a game of roles... and everyone has their own!
