Teaching module for junior secondary schools 8 – 22 November 2023
Three meetings on the main articles of the Italian constitution, with a special focus on environmental issues. Unfortunately, the climate crisis is a highly topical issue. We can no longer ignore how many disasters sweeping our planet are due to a process triggered by consumer society and human beings. The situation is so urgent we cannot rely on individual behaviour alone. Considering the issue of rules, starting with those of our and other constitutions, can be a helpful strategy to help reverse this self-destructive trend and prompt long-term policies.

Thematic in-depth studies to give a historical, social and critical overview of the essential principles of the Italian constitution, starting from its genesis. Together, we will look at its first twelve articles and Article 34.
Us and the others: an environmental issue

When our constitution was written, there was still no awareness of the enormous environmental crisis threatening the planet's future. How are other countries dealing with this issue? We reflect on the Italian and European laws implemented to tackle the problem and compare other countries' constitutions to highlight their strengths and shortcomings.

Environmental protection is now the focus of public debate. On the one hand, laws and politics play a crucial role in curbing the phenomenon; on the other hand, the behaviour of individuals is equally crucial and impactful. A meeting to learn about the effects and consequences of pollution, focusing specifically on Ecomafias.
