Photography workshop for teens aged 13 to 17 6 October - 3 November 2023
What is the communication potential of photography? How can we use photography to shape our ideas? Through a 5-lesson course we will discover how to use light and framing to convey a message and investigate the relationship between photography and words. Allowing ourselves to be guided by the works of great historical and contemporary photographers, we will eventually learn to structure, create and print our own photographic projects.

The value of images

Through a brief historical excursus we will analyse together the evolution of photographic language, focusing on the communication potential of images.
Test shots: lights and framing
- Friday 13 October 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
We will learn about the linguistic meanings associated with light and framing by practising how to create photographic images to convey specific messages.
Photography and word
- Friday 20 October 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
How does the reading of an image change when it is accompanied by text? By analysing the work of some artists and creating images accompanied by texts, we will investigate the
relationship between photography and words.
Concept and design
- Friday 27 October 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
Through concept maps, storyboards and test shots we will begin to structure a photographic project.
Shooting, printing, presenting
- Friday 3 November 2023 at 17:30 - 19:30
At the end of our course we will take the shots we have designed. Then each shot will be printed and presented by the individual participants.
