Between Art and Science: The Technique of Negotiation

This intensive workshop aims to promote negotiation as a technique and art to be practised both at work and in everyday contexts. More specifically, we will address topics such as knowledge and the difference between a “strategic” approach and a creative approach, the relevance of cultural and value differences – which are the basis for the need to negotiate – and the importance of each individual’s communication skills.

Negotiation Theories and Approaches

After an initial introductory section on the basics of negotiation theory, we will look into the differences of the interests-needs-purpose trinomial and awareness of the "win win" philosophy as a daily practice.
Inform, communicate, persuade

Since the first rule of negotiation is "knowing your communication skills", in this second meeting we will learn to use and establish many different languages and how to manage our emotions.
