Everything man says or writes, everything he builds, everything he touches, can and must provide information about him.” This quote by Marc Bloch, one of the greatest historians of the 20th century, is the basis for the document-based proposal of the CUBO Historical Archive, the Unipol Group’s Corporate Museum.
Thus, insurance contracts, correspondence, accounting books, and corporate communications don't just belong to the narrow field of economic history; they also help us understand and describe the society of that time, and therefore our own. We learn about the past to understand the present and design the future, because, as Bloch also explained: “The failure to understand the present is born of a necessary ignorance of the past.”
