CUBO LIVE – places, ideas, voices, events – is a series of live shows promoted by CUBO, the corporate museum of the Unipol Group, throughout Italy in especially picturesque locations.
The historic location of the Gardens of Piazza Viera de Mello in Bologna will feature a range of Italian song-writing, jazz and classical music. All those curious, passionate and enjoy listening to music in the company of others can spend summer evenings under Bologna's sky.
Following his post-pandemic trio, duo and solo tours, the bonafide American master of the acoustic guitar John Scofield has now set up a new group for the summer of 2025. The group goes by the name of Long Days Quartet, in honour of the long daytime hours of July, and is preparing to debut with new compositions by Scofield and with some of his classics revised from a fresh perspective. Twenty-six years after first working together, keyboardist John Medeski and Scofield are still continuing with their fantastic collaboration. The summer of 2025 will bring them together with the brilliant, versatile bassist Vicente Archer and a new member of the group, Ted Poor on drums.
In collaboration with Bologna Jazz Festival.
The show is part of Bologna Estate 2025, the programme of activities promoted and coordinated by the Municipality of Bologna and the Metropolitan City of Bologna - Bologna-Modena Tourism Territory.
In case of bad weather, the show will take place at the Unipol Auditorium Enea Mazzoli, via Stalingrado 37.
